Do I need Spotify Premium?

You need Spotify Premium for in-browser playback — this is a Spotify SDK requirement, not a Forgotify one. Free accounts can browse the forgotten-track catalog but can't play tracks in the browser.

How does Forgotify find forgotten songs?

Forgotify digs through the Spotify catalog with niche genre and era searches, filters out anything with meaningful play counts, and scores obscurity using a blend of track popularity, artist popularity, release age, and how niche the query was.
